List of Badminton Indonesia Open 2024 Ticket Prices & How to Buy

The Indonesian Open 2024 badminton ticket price list has been released by PBSI as the parent sport of badminton in Indonesia. In general, there are 2 variations in ticket prices from 3 different classes, to watch the BWF Indonesia Open 2024 tournament live. Ticket purchase transactions can be made via the PBSI website , starting April 26 2024.

Indonesia Open 2024 is part of the BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament series. This championship will take place at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on 4-9 June 2024.

In its official release, PBSI announced that the Indonesia Open 2024 ticket prices were divided into 2 different sales, namely presale tickets and regular tickets. Presale tickets are sold at relatively cheaper prices.

Indonesia Open 2024 tickets are also divided into 3 different classes or categories, namely VIP class tickets, Category 1 tickets and Category 2 tickets.

Referring to the match venue plan , VIP seats are on 2 sides of the back of the match field . Category 1 seats are on the second side of the field. Then Category 2 is located in the 4 corners of the match venue . The distribution of ticket categories is based on the spectator’s view of the field.

Regarding presale tickets for the VIP category for the round of 32, the price is IDR 350,000. Then the round of 16 is Rp. 625,000, the quarter-finals are Rp. 1,050,000, the semifinals are Rp. 1,500,000, and the final ticket is Rp. 1,900,000.

Presale ticket prices are relatively cheaper compared to regular ticket sales, which are charged at normal prices. The normal price for VIP tickets for the round of 32 is IDR 400,000. Then the round of 16 is IDR 700,000, the quarter final round is IDR 1,250,000, the semifinal match is IDR 1,700,000, and the final match is IDR 2,150,000.

Then Category 1 presale ticket prices are: IDR 225,000 (top 32), IDR 350,000 (top 16), IDR 675,000 (quarter final), IDR 875,000 (semifinal), and IDR 1,075,000 (final). Meanwhile, the normal prices for Category 1 are: IDR 300,000 (top 32), IDR 425,000 (top 16), IDR 750,000 (quarter final), IDR 950,000 (semifinal), and IDR 1,275,000 (final).

Finally, the price for Category 2 presale tickets is: IDR 150,000 (top 32), IDR 250,000 (top 16), IDR 475,000 (quarter final), IDR 550,000 (semifinal), and IDR 600,000 (final). Then the normal ticket prices for Category 2 are: IDR 175,000 (top 32), IDR 300,000 (top 16), IDR 525,000 (quarter final), IDR 600,000 (semifinal), and IDR 650,000 (final).

In general, badminton ticket prices for the 2024 Indonesia Open are more expensive than tickets for the 2023 Indonesia Open. For example, last year the VIP presale price was IDR 250,000-IDR 1,750,000, while the normal price was IDR 300,000-IDR 2,000,000.

Then for Category 1 presale last year it was IDR 175,000-IDR 1,000,000, and the normal price was IDR 250,000-1,200,000. The presale price for Category 2 at that time was IDR 125,000-550,000, and the normal price was IDR 150,000-IDR 600,000. The ticket price for the Indonesia Open for each edition has relatively increased.

The 2024 Indonesia Open badminton tournament will actually experience a change of venue . The match location was planned to move to the Indonesia Arena which has a larger capacity. However, this was not done due to technical problems, so it was decided to play again at Istora Senayan.

“In our plan, we want to move the Indonesia Open tournament to the Indonesia Arena, which has a capacity of approximately 16,000 spectators. Because compared to other Super 1000 tournaments, only Indonesia is still using a venue with a capacity of under 10,000 spectators,” explained the Chair of the 2024 Indonesia Open Organizing Committee, Armand Darmadji .

“But after carrying out a survey, we were forced to cancel it and return to Istora. The cancellation was due to technical problems with the roof structure of the Indonesia Arena which could not accommodate the installation of hanging rigging and lighting equipment which has become standard for us and BWF,” he added.
