The Indonesian badminton team is ready to compete in the 2024 Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) which will take place in Ningbo, China, 9-14 April 2024. At this event the Indonesian team is ready to continue the momentum of success at All England 2024 .
The Red-White badminton team left the country from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, Sunday (7/4/2024) at 09.10 WIB. They used China Southern Airlines CZ 388 on the route to Guangzhou. After transiting for about 3 hours, the team will continue to Ningbo.
At this BAC, the team departed in high spirits. Success at the All England and winning two championship titles certainly increased enthusiasm for the players.
“The momentum of victory at the All England must be maintained. Armed with victory, the players’ self-confidence will also increase. This positive thing must continue to be maintained in the Asian Championship,” said men’s doubles coach, Aryono Miranat , in a PBSI press statement, Sunday (7/4 /2024).
According to Aryono, the pairs Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana, and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin have undergone optimal preparations. It is hoped that these three pairs can achieve the best achievements.
“Fajar/Rian really have to be more alert and work harder. Because the opponents they will face in each round are different from those encountered at the last All England,” continued Aryono.
“We are ready. The preparations were smooth and there were no obstacles. The victory at All England last time was certainly an encouragement for us and Fajar. We will continue to fight to achieve the next achievement,” said Rian.
From the men’s singles sector, Jonatan Christie also admitted that he was ready to compete in BAC 2024. After returning from All England 2024, together with Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Jojo – Jonatan’s nickname – was prepared by coach Irwansyah to perform optimally at the Asian Championships.
Apart from adequate preparation, Jojo admitted that his self-confidence was also boosted after winning the 2024 All England championship. He hopes that this increased self-confidence will also support his performance on the field.
“I feel like my confidence has increased after becoming the All England champion. Hopefully this can have a positive impact on my performance in the middle of the field,” concluded Jojo.
